Large timber wolf pads struck the ground in silence as the predator stalked its naive prey. Never until its last dying moments would her kill ever realize she had marked its life. Fur filled auds swiveled silently catching every noise that could be caught, honey hued orbs watched vigilantly at the large doe's movements. Once the doe had lowered her head to eat the grass she had dug up from under the small covering layer of cold, white snow; Takoda would slowly advance in her efforts. Silently she waited in behind the brush.
She had always been thankful for the virtue of patience, she could wait around for hours so that she would have the perfect moment, the perfect kill, the perfect take-down but she now had to move quickly for she could sense that the doe was becoming a little edged and could probably sense her being there. Takoda had positioned herself almost directly behind the doe - so that she was of course in the dam's blind spot. She waited only a few more seconds, the doe's head was finally back down towards the ground, then with great effort she bounded over the brush in front of her; canines digging dug into the dam's barrel. Within a few short adrenaline filled moments the doe had fallen and Takoda had the large mammal all to herself.
Most times the hunt would have been more successful if she was in a pack, but, of course she was a solitary b i t c h as of right now. She had never bothered with the whole 'pack' thing much of her life, being a cast-away probably didn't help with her judgment. Rabidly she tried to devour as much of her kill as possible, she didn't want any scavengers coming around to try and take her kill away from her. Takoda's muzzle was covered in the deer's warm blood, her tongue gently running over her chops as she began to finish her meal. Sense at their peak attentiveness so that she could ready herself for any unwanted intruders.

The brute ventured, golden amber gaze piercing the darkened terrain as silent footsteps brought him forth. Auds flicked with constant alert, ebon pelt bristling slightly within the breeze. He never uttered a noise, no growl yet to escape his blackened vocals. Simply moving into the vegitation, he halted his pace, watching the vixen with intensity.
